Our infant program is designed to meet the individual needs of each infant. We understand that all infants develop at various rates and stages. Our infant program consists of stimulating the infant’s through colors, age-appropriate toys and books, outdoor stroller walks, and soft music to create a soothing atmosphere that enhances each infant’s cognitive growth. We also teach sign language in the infant classroom to promote effective communication tools for our infants. Earlier communication can provide psychological benefits, such as enhanced confidence and self-esteem. We also provide a structured feeding and nap schedule for each infant based on their specific needs.
Our program focuses on the following developmental areas: physical, emotional, social, and cognitive. Also, children will be able to use their newly discovered independent skills as they explore their environment and also with the consists of stimulating through colors, age-appropriate toys, and books. Staff will encourage children to use self-help skills while providing basic needs. We also teach sign language in the toddler classroom to promote effective communication tools. Early communication can provide a boost in communication, self-esteem, and confidence. Routines are essential at this age to help children predict the events that will occur during the day.
Jupiter Learning Academy understands the need for two-year-old's to explore their surroundings safely. Two-year-old's are extremely lively and have plenty of energy. They need to be individually challenged and have a feeling of importance as well as security. Jupiter helps children to flourish by balancing play and self-discovery with teacher-directed activities.
Our two-year-old activities encourage self-expression through movement, music, creative arts, and dramatic play. The curriculum used in the two-year-old classroom is the Appelbaum curriculum which is designed to help children stay active and interested while they learn about animals, colors, numbers, shapes, letters, and so much more. It also helps the children to work together to accomplish goals and tasks while keeping them engaged throughout the day.
The preschool program for our three-year-old classroom focuses on using imagination and exploration to build self-esteem and socialization skills. The children enjoy playing together while learning to take turns and share toys. The classroom is divided into interest areas such as blocks, dramatic play, books, puzzles, manipulatives, art exploration, and scientific discovery. Language development is encouraged through the use of books, flannel board stories, and telling stories about each child’s own experiences. Writing is developed through scribbling, drawing, and creating letters and words. Health and safety awareness are introduced through serving nutritious food, regular hand-washing, and discussion of safety practices at home and school. The program focuses on the child and teaches your child about friendship, understanding his or her emotions, developing physical skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving. Our Preschool Program incorporates the use of Al’s Pal and handwriting without tears curriculum. During circle time your child will learn about the weather, days of the week, the alphabet, counting, colors, and shapes. Singing and learning new rhyme songs along with learning Spanish as a second language. Each three-year-old will participate in a language and literacy group activity, math and science exploration time, arts and crafts, and gross motor activities.
The Pre-k program for our four and five year old’s sets the groundwork for your next trip to Kindergarten. It focuses on the child and teaches her about friendship, understanding his emotions, developing physical skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
